We are now taking bookings for 2012…

The Penguin Entertainers’ Club a musos club, and our ethos is to provide a suitable venue for performers.

Please send us:

• A description about yourself/the band
• A sample mp3 or YouTube link
• Your website link (if applicable)
• Tell us the date you would like to perform and we will see if that date is available.
• We endeavour to reply to emails within 24 hours.

Once you are booked:

Mail 10 or more posters to The Penguin Club c/- Mainstreet Music, 93 Thames Street, Oamaru

• Email us information you want to put on this website to promote your gig (Youtube, Myspace links etc)
• We can provide a door person if necessary and we provide the door float
• Usual door charges are $12 for club members and $15 for non members
• The club can legaly host up to 122 people
• Doors open at 8pm, performance start time by 8.30pm and we would expect a minimum of two 50min sets
• You as the performer receive 100% of the door take less $50 for newspaper advertising
• The Club does not provide accommodation but we are happy to assist you in finding a place to stay
• We have a great in house P.A. and can provide a competent sound person if needed
• There is good stage lighting
• We would appreciate you arriving for set up and sound check by 4pm on the day of the gig
