Previously a Penguin Entertainers Club virgin – now no more. The audience of more than 30 enjoyed a rainy evening with foot tapping galore. The night saw a great style/range of music from contemporary folk, irish folklore story telling to mellow hip hop and funky folk music with great rhythm – and some awesome harmonics from a voice you could easily listen to through the night.
There were new experiences to be had this night with a funky instrument called a hulusi. And if you have never heard it before – singing through a flute is a treat to look out for. We weren’t lucky enough to hear any of Katus’s music sung in Czech – yet the english versions remained a listening pleasure.
