Grandad’s Wedding, Chernobyl Kid and Special Neadz

This was our last gig of the year, and it was a great one. Glen Barthgate was up first, as a solo act as Chernobyl Kid.

A great song writer,  he entertained with some originals on the acoustic guitar.  Glenn may not have had his band ‘Blistering Tongues’ with him, but he did have his young son who at the age of 9 is already a competent drummer. Complete with a well spiked mohawk, which could just be seen over the drums,  Billy gave it his all. This young second generation Penguin club musician would put many jam night drummers to shame. This lad’s musical career is one to watch…

Last but not least Special neadz hit the stage. If you are a fan of the hard and heavy music, and you have not seen this local band. be sure to catch them when they play with Osmium and Made in China on the Sat. 7th Feb. This band has all the necessary ingredients; throbbing bass and drums and hard out guitar and powerful singing.
